Anyone who has used the built-in plugin or theme editor for WordPress knows that it is severely lacking a few very important features. It is much, much better than it used to be, but there are still quite a few features to lust after. This is where the WP Editor plugin comes in. Developed by Benjamin Rojas, WP Editor takes the place of the default plugin and theme editors in WordPress, and provides a true “code editor” experience. It includes syntax highlighting, full directory browsing, image / file lightbox previews, and a completely ajaxed experience. I’ve tested the plugin pretty thoroughly have have recorded my video review of it below.
The way online code editors are meant to be made.
Amazing tip!
