This add-on plugin for bbPress will allow you to place forum-wide notices for alerting your users to important information, such as delayed response times, operating hours, new features, etc.

Notices are displayed above forum index, topic lists, and single topic pages, and they are displayed using the default styles in bbPress, giving you a seamless integration.

Very nice. I’m guessing the ‘type’ drop down to the right is for setting the class?

Oh, and how about if I wanted to make my notice dismissable?

    • Pippin

      Correct.

I’d love to add dismissable notices but haven’t done it yet.

I am not able to delete past notices. Is there a bug or something that I can do to be able to delete? I am on a mac running Chrome.

    • Pippin

You should be able to delete them just like any other post or page by hovering over the Title in the list of notices.

    Hello there,

is it possible to add notices on the specific subforums, etc.? If not, did you think about it to add that feature?

    • Pippin

Not at this time. I will consider adding it though.

Hello and much thanks for this plugin!

I just wanted to drop you a quick feature suggestion. I use bbPress to provide support for theme buyers. We’ll be on vacation soon and the most important place for us to show this is on the new thread form, so the user sees the message before he/she posts.

The plugin is awesome as is, but It would be great if you could hook the message into the beginning of the form, I’m sure bbPress has a hook there 🙂

    Thanks again!

    Daniel

Thanks, I’ll consider making an update!
