As you will have noticed if you have attempted to get support for any of my plugins over the last few days, the support site has been having issues. All of my sites located on one particular hosting account went down Thursday night; this includes my main site (this one) and also my support site. Both sites have now been moved to a new server and are mostly up and running. With the move to the new server, there are some changes to the support forum.
The most major change is that the support site is now fully integrated with my main plugins site (this one), meaning they both share the same user base. While it will be a bit painful for a little bit, this is a change that will make everyone’s lives much easier. Instead of having an account on both sites, the accounts are shared. Register here and you will automatically have the same account on the support site.
If you go to the support forums now you will probably notice that they are mostly empty. I am still in the process of importing all past tickets, both resolved and non resolved. I’m also working on importing user accounts.
Here are the key things you need to know:
- If you can’t log in, simply register a new account
- If you had unresolved tickets, you have two options:
1. Open a new ticket.
2. Wait patiently until I have all old tickets imported. This could take quite some time.
This has been a painful (and extremely time consuming) process for me and I know it has been painful for users that have unanswered tickets. I am sincerely sorry for any difficulties it has caused, but once this is finished, everything will be much, much better.
