This add-on plugin for Restrict Content Pro allows your members to pay for subscriptions through PayPal Express and via credit
card with PayPal Pro.

When a user selects to pay with PayPal Express, they are directed to PayPal and then back to your site to confirm the payement. THis process is more secure than Paypal Standard.

When PayPal Pro is enabled and a user chooses to pay via credit card, the user will stay on your site throughout the entire registration process. The user simply enters their credit card information and clicks Register.

Securely Process Credit Cards

All credit card transactions are processed securely through PayPal Pro and no sensitive information is ever stored on your server.

Note 1:This is an add-on for Restrict Content Pro. Version 1.1.8 or later is required to use this add-on.

Note 2: you should still always have a valid SSL certificate installed on your registration page when accepting credit cards through PayPal Pro.

Note 3: you must have a PayPal Merchant account in order to use this gateway.

Note 4: you must enable and configure your PayPal IPN settings in order for PayPal Pro to fully function. See the documentation for instructions.

Documentation

For helping setting up this payment gateway, please read the “Documentation.pdf” file located in the plugin folder.

Awesome! Thanks for adding this! Any plans to add authorize.net as well?

Yes at some point. The Authorize.net gateway is about 50% complete.

      Hey there,
Just following up on this. Did this authorize.net add-on ever get created?

      Not it has not, sorry.

      Hey Pippin,

Has there been any movement on this authorize.net gateway? I have a client who wants to use this system, but with extremely large transactions, which PayPal doesn’t allow. They want to use authorize.net, so it’d be nice if we could use Restrict Content Pro instead of having to go with the awful Digital Access Pass.

      No, sorry.

Hey Pipin – just been to PayPal re merchant accounts and can see that the ‘PayPal Payments Advanced’ plan includes a merchant account that allows payments without leaving a site. I see they have changed a few things at PP and wasn’t sure if this kind of account works with this plugin.

Yes, that is exactly what this add-on plugin is for. Just remember that this plugin requires the main Restrict Content Pro plugin to function, as it is an “add-on”.

Awesome thanks – was a little unsure having read the into which only mentions PayPal Pro and PayPal Express accounts.
Working with a client at the moment and if all works well will be using RCP.
    Cheers

There seems to be quite a few solutions to restrict the view of content by charging to view content, but there aren’t any solutions that enable us to create ad packages to sell the ability to create and publish posts.

Theme shops such as Templatic and AppThemes have this feature built in to some of their themes but their themes are very rigid and some could say almost unusable.

It’s almost impossible to unbundle the pay to post aspects of their themes so we can build sites how we want and not how they think we want them ;-)

Are you referring to a system that lets users buy posts? They pay a free and are then able to submit the post?

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m referring to. Trying to find a solution that will allow this, but needs to be flexible enough to allow them to buy packges, i.e. x number of posts, but also restrict those posts to a duration of 12 months, after which they’ll have the option to renew etc.

Something like this would open up many possibilities.

You can easily do that with Gravity Forms.

    Hey Pippin,

Is this available in all countries?
I had an issue previously where PayPal Pro on a Woocommerce site was only available in USA, Canada and UK.

I’m not personally aware of any limitations in terms of location. If you can sign up with a PayPal Pro account then this should absolutely work. If you find that it doesn’t, I will be more than happy to do all I can to make it work.

Do you have a video on how this look and acts? I would like to see how this works with a free option, trial, & subscription.

    Thank you

Jeff, you will want to look at the main plugin page: http://pippinsplugins.com/restrict-content-pro-premium-content-plugin/

This page is for the PayPal Pro / Express extension, which still requires the full plugin.

I have the Restrict Content Pro. I was wondering how the interface if I bought this add-on and upgraded to PayPal Advanced would look and work with my free and trial options. Do you have more info or possible screen show on how this add-on would look and act?

      Ok great, got it.

This add-on does not have any affect on the Free / Trial subscriptions, so they will work exactly the same way as they do now.

Hi Pippin, I have a question regarding the paypal account type needed for this plugin to work. There are 3 types: Standard, Advanced and Pro. I’ve noticed that Standard accounts also accept credit cards, so can this plugin work with Standard accounts or I must subscriber to the Pro account?

    refer to: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/compare-business-products

Yo need a Standard account. The Pro account is only needed if you wish to process credit cards on the site (instead of inside PayPal) with this extension. In other words, if you buy this extension, you must have a Pro account.

    @Pippin

For a client project I needed to be able to style the fields and move them around so I added id’s to each paragraph similar to the rest of the fields on the registration page. Is there any way for me to submit a pull request?

Do you need to move the core registration fields around, or just the ones added by the payment gateway?

    Hi, Pippin

I tried to buy the PayPal Pro and Express plugin, but no luck…

When I click ‘Purchase’ your site adds ‘Restrict Content Pro’ to the cart. I tried to remove it and then add the ‘PayPal Pro and Express’ plugin, but it ends up with ‘Restrict Content Pro – $42′ in it.

Eventually I left ‘Restrict Content Pro’ in the cart and tried to add the ‘PayPal Pro and Express’ as well, but cart still shows up ‘Restrict Content Pro – $42′ and nothing else.

    Where is the problem?

    Thanks.
